I am here to blog.I am elated! I am excited! I am jubilant! Today was a great success for 'SKY' netballers. We had a great fight with Yio Chu Kang Secondary. Though it was our first 'virgin' game with them, we did relatively well. The result was a close shot. 19-22. A 3 difference goals. (Phew!) Its really a nerve-wracking game. Initially, the first quarter, we played badly. It was 2 against 6 (God damn god!) Subsequently, our players were on form and progressed really well. We had a score of 9 against 8. We caught up by 7 goals. It was an eye opening to see more of our shots getting into the goal post.(Shirley & Jasin begun to have confident in their shooting.) Third & fourth quarter was really like we are in a battlefield.Our gals wanted to win so badly that the gals go all out. Injuries happened in the game (Natasha & Shirley had a bad fall! Natasha had her butt knocking on the floor with 'loud' impact), but we managed to get up on our feet and moved on.Our attacker side wanted the ball so badly, pushed themselves forward to get the ball & passed it nicely to our main shooters. On the other hand, our shooters caught the ball and gave a nice shots in. You can see our coach panicking when time goes by. You can see Mdm Koh jumping with her high heels when time-keeper was heading towards the umpire.You can see our supporters putting their hands together and cheered really loud for us. All these scenes are really unforgettable and it holds back a long memories. All these scenes looks like it had just happened a few seconds before. I remembered vividly the when whistle was blown during the fourth quarter, everyone jumped with joy and hugged together so tightly. We cried not because we lost but we cried because we made it. The tears that we had flown brings us our happiness, brings us to our success. To us, Yio Chu Kang is one of the competitive school that we have to gone through. To us, Yio Chu Kang has alot of tall players which is disadvantage to us (You see, our gals are really SHORT!), but thought of it, so what they are tall? So what they are good? We players have our own special talent. We are a quick-moving players. We are a fast-runner. We beat them of this talent that we had. I know some people will think that its our 'LUCK' to win them. But you guys are not us, you guys do not know how much we had put our effort in. (I don't blame you guys! But hope you guys will appreciate our efforts and let us feel that our efforts are paid off!) Come on, we are in the same school, so aren't we supposed to support one another despite of our flaws? :D Apparently, we have 4 more schools to go. The gals believed we can do it. And yes, we are going to make it! Have I mentioned that 3 of our gals had been norminated into the 'Young Talent' for netball? I am very proud of our DEAREST PUTRI, BRENDA & JASIN! They had been selected into this young talent and had to go for a trail. Its a golden opportunity for them. I feel that we had 3 national players in our team right now. So glad! Today is a day that enlightened me. Make me want to flyyyyyyyyyy! Back to you>>>>>>> P.s: I could never regret loving you because even if you didn't love me anymore, at least I know that you once did and that is the most wonderful feeling because I never thought that I deserved your love. I will alway remember my birthday's date b'cos it holds on alot of meaning. |
