Today is a special day for me but I chose to make it unspecial.Today is a day whereby i can go out and celebrate with my friends but i chose to celebrate alone. Joey Chan, Happy 17th Birthday! And yes, many people would ask why i chose to celebrate alone? Well, i do not know why. My brain had ordered me to do so. Perhaps I need some space and time alone.  I travelled alone and wondered around. I decided to go back to this place where I had grown up. Katong holds me many memories, well it was my grandparent's house. Many things flashed back when i walked along the roads. My family, cousins would come down to visit my grandparents every weekend. We would alway stay over. The adults will be chit-chatting whereas the children would be kicking balls. And the most funniest things is the ball would fly over to another person's house. As the oldest among the rest, i would order them to go over and get the ball back. Poor them, they have to keep apologising to the owner. I know I am a bad influential! But that was when i am young.  Grandparent's house was demolished after they had passed away. Now, it really looks like a condominiuim. And it is newly built! The small field i used to kick ball had been removed. I hate the way it looks like now.  But in second thoughts, i told myself I want to buy back this house again. I want to buy back the memories and tell my future children, grandchildren that i once lived in this house and its the best childhood memories ever.  So Katong's house, i will be back to buy you. If i am wealthy enough! Love Joey. P.s: After 73 days, 1752 hours, 105120 mins, 6307200s, i get to see you boy. I had never ever thought that we would chat till so long. Boy, guess what, you made my day! The best birthday present ever. If i have a chance, i would say "Oh darling I wish you were here." To be gratitude, Thanks to all my friends who texted me, who left a birthday wish on my Facebook's wall. Many names to be mentioned, but i guess you know who you are. Its for me to know, and for you to find out. But really, this year's birthday will be the most 'Special' year for me. I gave myself some space to think and reflect. Well, it had come to a sense that friends played an important role in my big life. I appreciate every friends I have now. So please, friends, don ever leave me behind! ;D If you want to leave, please bring me along to a faraway land. THANK YOU! |
